This was in the lobby of the Science Center. Pretty fun!

Arizona Science Center and the Local NBC morning news.

We had to be at the Science Center at 4:30am, and we got to play and explore with just a few other people while the TV crew was trying to get the satellite connection.

This was one of the experiments that was supposed to be on TV with the kids in it.  There was a storm that morning so instead of being on TV during the weather breaks from 5-7am, they were only on one segment at the end of the two hours.

They still had tons of fun! This is a dam that the kids can actually play with.  Not with all the fog usually though.

"Peanut Butter Jelly Time,Peanut Butter Jelly time"! They actually had the kids singing this and dancing for the PB&J promotion. (I never knew it was a real song, I just thought it was something Mark made up for the kids)  NBC and the Science Center was doing a food drive.  Ella didn't want to wear one of the costumes......well she did, she just didn't want anyone to make fun of her in it. When she saw that it was safe, and how much fun they were having she got into one also!  Only to have them say they couldn't do that segment either.  Bummer.  By the way, this other little girl here was named Ivy!  My Ivy couldn't contain her smile when she heard that.....she told me that she thought "Ivy" was a brown name, she didn't know that blonde people had that name too. 

Here they are in the Sesame Street Exhibit.  They had it all to themselves!

This was the Hissing Cockroach!  It really did hiss.

Ella asked to hold it and did, and played with it.  One of the kids asked if we could have one as a pet.  I think not!

This is what the Weather guy did during the off camera time, didn't visit with any of the kids.  You'd never know it once the camera was rolling.

 

They told everyone that day that they got to see the "REAL Elmo".

The Sesame Street Exhibit was about "THE BODY", so they had a healthy cafe and grocery store.  They ran over hear when we were done and didn't want to leave. But I was falling asleep having been up since 3:00 am......well really since about 12:30 am.  Ivy was so excited about being on TV that she came in and woke me up at 12:30 saying "WHAT ABOUT BEING ON TV"!!!  She thought we were going to oversleep.  Then she came back in at 2:30 am, I just looked at her and said go back to bed, and she ran!  When I went in to get them at 3am, I barely got through the door and she threw her sheet off.  I don't think she slept at all that night.  When we went out to breakfast after, she finished eating and then put her head down on the table to go to sleep.

Rowan was very into this.  He put that apron on and got right to work taking orders and cooking!

Ella loves the play grocery store at the Children's Museum too.  They like doing all the "fun stuff" us adults get to do.

4th of July! In Arizona this means inside. We did BBQ ribs, beans, watermelon and Ice Cream......... and Glitter Tattoos of course!
