Now I know the answer to my question this morning.
This morning I got up early, before the kids.....at 5:30 am. And I made biscuits, a ham, sausage and cheese Frittata .....yum. We all sat down to breakfast. I thought getting an early start would help with the crazy running around before pre-school. Well, this is how the rest of the morning before school went. I try and get the girls in to take a shower, Ella refuses and runs to her room.......Ivy says she has to go to the bathroom and runs to the other bathroom, instead of using the one that's 5 feet away. The waters running, and I'm chasing kids around the house. I chase Ivy to the other bathroom, she's locked the door, Mark unlocks it and she has a reason for wanting privacy :) she likes it when she goes.....however, in all the excitement, she forgot to flush the toilet......then moved out of the way. I'm in there rushing around and putting tooth past on toothbrushes, put the bottle down and it rolls off the counter into the toilet! Into the toilet that wasn't flushed, nice! I leave it trying to get everyone dressed. Ivy stops in the middle of getting dressed to turn on a singing dancing bear that Grandma gave them....she's smiling and dancing! I finally get them dressed and out the door.....(more drama with shoes of course, but we're fixing that tonight :) And Ivy was dancing instead of getting dressed, with a huge smile on her face I had to laugh...really whats the big deal? But I asked Mark, after the toothpaste rolled into a toilet with poop in it if this was how my day was going to be. And I just got my answer! Well, now we have an excuse to make milkshakes and watch a Christmas movie instead of practicing our writing. I asked the girls if they wanted to have lunch, or have milkshakes and popcorn for lunch. Ella said YES of course, and I asked Ivy "do you vote for that Ivy"....and Ella said, "vote"? "vote for Romney'! So funny. We really only had the last election on the tv when they were up, never talked about it, but she picked it up that night listening to the debate, and at the time she said she liked Romney. And we do take them to vote with us. But still, pretty funny. The reason I'm writing all of the details about today is because the purpose of this blog was to eventually print in a book for the kids, kind of like yearbooks for each year. I would never remember half of this stuff if I didn't. I wish I was a better writer, but my goal is to document, and I'm doing at least that.
